Rappers and Hip-Hop artists are sometimes portrayed in songs, music videos, and sometimes T.V. too as not really caring about their relationships. Most love songs are how about the artists relationship slipped away and they want them back. Beyonce' is telling them how to prevent that from happening. If you really love someone, then marry them, cause if you wait too long they'll walk away.
Some people aren't patient and can't wait forever for that someone to put a ring on them. Maybe they dont even wanna get married. Maybe they just want something to match with their earrings; but what shows love more than a ring?
In "Single Ladies" by Beyonce', I think she goes against how people view music artist, saying that they dont just want wootwoot but a good relationship. Lil Wayne on the other hand "no love lost, no love found". They have totally two different types of views in my opinion. I would agree more with what i think Beyonce is saying tho because she hasn't divorced before or anything and it seems like a good relationship she has. Even though many people probably believe that rappers and singers and stuff are like pimps, not all of them are even though in their songs it may seem like it.
