Boondocks

Can there ever be an end to racism? Racism is one of the founding ideologies in the American society. This is portrayed in the cartoon series "The Boondocks." In which daily experiences of racism are depicted by two young boys who move to an all white suburb. Throughout every episode racism is displayed towards the brothers as they try to stick out from the ways of the town. Huey is the eldest and is a rebel, young activist, and also an anarchist. Riley is the youngest is a hot headed kid who believes that life is all about being a gangster.

The show's audience is supposed to be teenagers who have satire for racism in a predominantly white neighborhood. I believe that this show conveys the message of comical racism which is the best way to make people aware of these such things still exist in America.

A major ideology that I see in this show is racism experienced by the brothers. I think that their way of living shouldn't influence other people's views. This ideology shows that if there is an incident always blame someone of different color, race, or ethnicity. Being a minority causes you to be the center of attention in every incident. To be a regular being in society you need to be white, middle class or high class, and live in a good suburb. I believe it shouldn't be that way, people should have the choice to live however they want and still have equality and the same rights as other people.

I honestly wish that nobody ever talked about race ever again. It is completey and totally irrelevant to me. Boondocks is funny though. It takes a funny satirical look at the issue. Still though, I wish people wouldn't look at everything from a racial point of few. It just doesn't matter.

dude that show is hilarious. but i like how it totally just takes racism and plays with it instead of portraiting it. i also agree with kyle when he says discriminating against race is irrelavent. its irrelevant to everything except when you are actually speakikng of race itself. great review.

i totally love that show its so funny! but it does use a lot of racism in it. this is for some reason what entertains us. i think as racism as the most retarded hate ever. there is only one race and that's the human race.
