Obesity Still A Problem

According to the New York Times, despite recent efforts toward the contrary, US citizens are continuing to get more and more obese. Obesity rates increased to nine states above 30%, up from just three in 2007. According to the article, however, it may be even worse. Several of the 400,000 people interviewed about their height and weight in a phone survey were said to have lied. Researchers cite the same problems we've had for years. It's a combination of unhealthy foods and not enough excercise.

Frankly, I don't see what more anybody can do to improve this outside of just waking up and deciding to stop being fat. We've tried interactive video games like the Wii. Go to the grocery store and you'll see 100 calorie and low calorie snacks everywhere. If this is going to get better, Americans will just need to be more disciplined and monitor their health. If not, there will be trouble ahead.

This is so true, we cannot change who we are over night it takes hard earned work to get what you want. People always complain that it's impossible to lose weight when they hardly try anything to solve it. I agree that we should be more disiplined and watch are health. It's the only sure fire way to get anywhere in life. This post was very informal and more people should read it.
