Is Smoking Really Worth It?

 Ever since black and white movies you would see people running around with a cigarette in either their hand or mouth.  It came across as a new way to be "cool" by smoking.  Smoking just became more and more popular as the years past.  It swept through nations, costing people who chose to smoke not only money but their lives.  Smoking is in fact VERY deadly.  I mean u get lung cancer from smoking.  Over 40 million adults in the United States of America Smoke.  I asked several friends and they were not shocked they responded with "Of course everyone smokes now."  What i am trying to say is that everyone just thinks smoking makes u look cool when it actually just harms you and others around you.

Several sites have been created to help inform the dangers of smoking.  One of the more popular sites is called The Truth~http://www.thetruth.com/, with their most recent commercials Shards O' Glass.  The message is pretty clear, the Shards O' Glass Freeze Pops representing cigarettes and only being available to adults.  Of course eating glass is going to hurt you. Just the same way that smoking would harm you.  Smoking is just a total waste of money also... i mean why pay money to slowly kill your self. Being highly addictive your just slowly destroying your lungs to the point where you will need a oxygen tank just to live, never able to separate from it.  Or the hole in your throat with that recorder looking thing that you use to talk. Both negative side affects from smoking over years.

Smoking will most likely never go away. Lack of care and addictive factors on most part.  What my main point is that smoking doesn't make you cool.  Your just slowly digging a hole that gets deeper and deeper that eventually you wont be able to climb your way out of. So to conclude smoking is for losers. d(o.O)z
