TOOT IT AN BOOT IT!

Is hip hop really dead? Many people has witness the rise and fall of hip hop and are now watching it transform into nonsense music. For example, the song Toot it and Boot it by Yg is a song that has no true meaning behind it. Really all it talks about is going to the club, meeting up with a girl and having a one night stand with her. Is this the kind of music do we want our kids of the future to listen too. These kind of songs are teaching kids how to be non civilized people and are slowly changing the minds of kids around the world. Kids the ages of 10 and younger are learning, saying, and doing things you and I didn't do or learned till we got into the 7th grade or even later. Also these kind of music shows that you no longer need talent to record a song thats plays on the radio. All you need is a catchy beat with some nonsense lyrics thrown in and it will be hit song.

Toot it and Boot is not the only song that has a catchy beat but has nonsense lyrics in it. Your A jerk By New Boys is another song that really has no importance to the musical world but still plays here and there because of its catchy beat. Same with Teach Me How to Dougie by California Swagg District and many more. Songs like these are the type of music that shouldn't be played on the radio or shouldn't even be recorded. If kids really want to listen to these kind of music just make it yourself, its not that hard. Look at Soulja Boy, the guy doesn't even make sense but his music still sells and still plays on the radio. Hip Hop is only dead because kids are choosing to listen to nonsense music rather then meaningful music that you can learn something from.

I am not going to be a hypocrite and say i do not enjoy listening to these kind of music, cause i do, but all im saying is do we really need to hear these kind of music on the radio. Do kids really need to know how to dougie and jerk? Kids needs to learn how to appreciate music and actually listen to lyrics that are being sung. Not just to do some stupid dance, to a stupid song, looking stupid. I know its fun but after a while it just gets old and you start missing how it was back then. With music making sense and also having meaningful lyrics with them. A guy like me who really appreciates music is really disappointed on how hip hop has changed so much over the years. We can only hope that one day music will go back to how it was, but till then we just have to deal with these kind of music being played all over the radio.

Here is the song Toot It and Boot it by Yg. ( Viewer Discretion Is Advised )

I totally agree with post! Most of the songs played on the radio are catchy, but have no meaning whatsoever. Kids younger than me usually listen to these type of songs but I think they shouldn't since there isn't any type of lesson you learn from it. Hip hop back then actually had meaning and there was a lesson you can learn from the lyrics, but what can you learn from "tooting and booting" it? Artists these days are teaching kids inappropriate things and if this keeps up, it'll be worse in future generations.

This is so true, I mean ill listen to the music and all. It just has no meaning to it whatsoever like music used to. Most songs now days are about three things sex drugs and drinking. I really wonder what kids are are doing listening to it.it seems that no one cares about what their saying but just care about getting paid for the song. that's not right.

I have the same thoughts as you. There's no meaning in a lot of songs that play on the radio now and are just popular because they are catchy. Most of the kids in elementary school listen and sing those songs even though they don't even know what it means. If music like this is popular, the people that make it don't care who listens to it as long as they get paid.

I definitely agree with you Sean. The mainstream hiphop and R&b music has completely lost it's flavour throughout the years. The music that is coming out today all has to do with drugs, alcohol, money and sex. It's like a rapper can't make a song without adding one of those elements to a song! I listen to this music to just to get a laugh out of it :)

People people people!! This song has a point but its a very bad one.I couldn't really lie and say this song is a bad song and isnt catchy but it really is a good song. The chorus just tops the whole song and makes people listen to the rest off it. My personal thoughts on this is ILUMINATI.
