Apple

One of the biggest trends today is Apple technology. Practically everywhere you go you see something that is an Apple product. Whether it is a Mac book, iPhone, iPod, or an iPad. You see them almost everywhere. Apple technology is huge, the Apple keynotes sell out of tickets almost instantly, product announcements are plastered over internet news headlines all the time, people live their lives around Apple products.

Apple first started producing the iPod in 2001. In 2003, iTunes was introduced. The Macbook product line was announced in 2006. On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs announced the iPhone and the new iPod. From this day forth, mobile electronics were forever changed. With the new iPhone, and iPod, Apple was bringing in on average $1 million daily with help from the iTunes App Store. On January 27, 2010, Jobs announced the iPad, and on April 3, 2010 the iPad was launched and sold 300,000 units on the end of the day, and more than 500,000 by the end of the week. Apple is a huge company now, it has surpassed Microsoft in market share for the first time since 1989.

For myself, the iPhone is a daily device for me. I am always using it for Facebook, Twitter, texting, calling people, and also checking up on news. I have an iPod which I use for mainly music now since I have an iPhone 4. I also have an iPad, which allows me to play games on a larger screen than an iPhone, view websites on a full size screen, and basically everything an iPod or iPhone can do except for make phone calls, text, and take pictures/videos. The Apple devices are just a daily thing for me now. As with many other people I also know, I can't live without my Apple devices now. Thanks Apple.

I totally agree that apple is a main component in daily life. Without apple products people would have to entertain themselves by reading a book or something, that would suck. Apple products are really convenient, but they can also be so addictive that people never look away from them. This is a problem because people won't make any friends and wont have a social life, but maybe they are on facebook(a social netwarok) making internet friends, which are the same as real friends right??? But overall good cultural analysis.

Apple=future of the world. Apple will take over the mp3 player and tablet world. People spend hundreds of dollars for a silly little iPad, it has all the features the iPod has and the only real difference is the screen. it doesnt even have flash! So thats pretty lame. I have nothing against Apple i like their products. just seems unbelievable people spend money on something they can get for cheaper, just because the screen is bigger.
